Sensus America Unveils a Fava Protein for Plant-Based Dairy Applications

Sensus America is launching a new plant-based protein called ‘Tendra Fava Protein Isolate.’ Produced by Cosun Protein, the protein was created for plant-based dairy uses, as well as the challenge of imitating the creamy consistency of animal dairy products. ‘Tendra Fava Protein Isolate’ is non-GMO and gluten-free. It is a sustainable source of protein due to the fava beans having low water and carbon dioxide output naturally, and the protein showcases the potential that plant-based solutions can offer.

"We are excited to bring this product to our North American customers," said Ken Horn, president and general manager of Sensus. "Tendra solves very real challenges for these manufacturers when it comes to taste and texture especially for plant-based dairy products."
