Ocean Builders' SeaPods conceptualizes a new way to live on the water in an eco-friendly way. With environmentally friendly design elements and state-of-the-art marine engineering, these accommodations were thought of as a way to solve the problem of more people moving to oceanfront properties. With a lack of real estate along the coastline itself, these pods offer a way for people to appreciate more of the ocean by living on it, rather than beside it.
The pod structures are elevated above the surface of the water and they boast three storeys of liveable interior space, including functional spaces like bedrooms, living rooms and kitchens.
While the SeaPod designed by Dutch architect Koen Olthius is optimized for living out at sea, similar designs have been created for life on land (GreenPod and EcoPod.)
