Following in the footsteps of Burger King, McDonald's South Korea is serving up its own seafood burgers. Similar to the Whole Shrimp Whopper, the Shrimp Beef Burger and Supreme Shrimp Burger from McDonald's put a whole new spin on the idea of surf-and-turf.
The new seafood burgers from McDonald's South Korea come in two varieties, each of which is made with a crispy whole-shrimp patty, two layers of spicy onion sauce, lettuce and a slice of tomato. The main difference between the two is that the Shrimp Beef Burger also comes with an all-beef patty sourced from Australia or New Zealand.
The new seafood-centric burgers demonstrate how chain's such as McDonald's can cater to regional taste preferences by experimenting with different types of burger patties.
