The immersive activation is designed by two local studios — Muir and Openwork, and it is intended to represent "a series of chasms" that add an artistic accent to the space.
The pavilion is dubbed 'Doubleground' and it is made out of plywood panels that have been painted black. When constructing the installation, great emphasis was put on geometry. The sculptural garden is effortlessly accented through Muir and Openwork's collaboration as the piece does not only provide an interesting form to engage with but also embodies numerous references to the building of the gallery itself, as well as a stunning mist-filled experience.
