Scuba Steve Clothing is a T-Shirt company that promotes locally-created goods and uses their profits to donate apparel to those in need.
Founded by Steve Johnson, the clothing company donates a blank shirt to the Biloxi, Mississippi homeless shelter Back Bay Mission in exchange for each one that the organization sells.
All of their designs are printed on shirts purchased from American Apparel, a company that embraces vertically integrated manufacturing and locally sourced fabrics, and the printing process takes place locally in Mississippi.
The company also supports breast cancer awareness by choosing one woman in the area each October and designing a special edition shirt for her. The proceeds from the sales of that shirt are then donated to the woman who inspired the design to help her pay her medical bills.
