Scapehouse by Andrew Simpson Unfolds into the Landscape

The plain pitched roof type of residence is far from architecturally explorative, so would you believe that it was actually the starting point for the design of the Scapehouse by Andrew Simpson?

This charming beach house can be found in Cape Liptrap of Victoria, Australia, with a breathtaking view of the ocean. The clients and the creative brain behind the project wished to take full advantage of the picturesque location, and did so by allowing the envelope of the structure to bend and unfold, revealing the most compelling perspectives of the dwelling's surroundings. Geometric glass walls were applied where possible, but with implacable prevailing winds that put pressure on the facade, the Scapehouse by Andrew Simpson takes protective refuge beneath that dark dynamic roof.
