Product design student Phil Bridge has come up with a way to reduce bicycle theft and save the environment. His solution is a unique cardboard bicycle.
He's unveiled his creation in hopes that funding will be made available to him to commercially produce the bike for a fraction of the cost of regular bikes. The bike is made out of industrial strength cardboard and is strong and sturdy as well as waterproofed during manufacturing and Mr. Bridge claims that even if it rains, the structural integrity of the bike will remain intact.
I'm not so sure I'd want to test out that theory, but it's a unique way of looking at saving the environment and going green while hopefully reducing bicycle theft. There is a great video of the bicycle in action here.
