If you consider the material makeup of the Sara and Bob Lamps, they seem to reference a much older style of luminary device. Reminiscent of the antique oil lamp, the pair of illuminating objects is made up of lovely blown glass components.
Designed by Dan Yeffet, these table lamps come in a tall and a squat version that both consist of two glass elements that appear to overlap. The transparent tops of the lights each have a large hole in the bottom, enabling them to be placed over the lightbulb-embedded bases. Bright colors tint the bottom components of the Sara and Bob Lamps to give them visual delight. The clarity reveals the simplicity of the electrical components, including the globes, the black cylindrical fixtures and the descending and escaping power cords.
