Tropical Rum Packaging

This Rum's New Packaging Reflects Its Tropical Roots

The rum packaging created for 'Takamaka Coco Rum' was designed by the creative agency 'Muti.'

The rum itself is produced in Seychelles -- an island in the Indian Ocean next to East Africa. The islands are known for their beaches, forests and wildlife. Takamaka's new rum packaging reflects that, with four different labels that show different tropical foods and plants. The four labels include coconuts, mangoes, pineapples and apples -- all of which are drawn in the midst of leaves from tropical trees.

Rum does not tend to be packaged in a way that reflects its origins -- as it is usually created in the Caribbean and Latin America and other tropical regions. Takamaka's rum reflects the alcohol's origin in a way that is eye-catching and unique.
