Johnston Marklee Transforms the Robert Projects Art Gallery

Architectural studio Johnston Marklee converts a historic car showroom into the Robert Projects art gallery in Los Angeles. The local design studio was selected to transform the building, which is defined by a brick and cinder block build as it has been involved in a range of art galleries within the recent years.

Co-owner of Robert Projects, Julie Roberts explains that "We searched for a space for over four years and felt this building was ideal due to the raw talent of the structure, incredible ceiling height and great location." Founding partner of Johnston Marklee, Sharon Johnston "The elemental facade and building mass will integrate the new gallery into the cultural landscape of the arts and architecture across the city."
