Seasonal Local Pickles

Rick's Picks is Based on the Lower East Side in Manhattan

Rick's Picks eponymous company was founded by Rick Field in 2004 who spent his childhood making pickles in his family home in Vermont. But now, post a profession in television production, Field has translated his family history to a business located on the Lower East Side in New York City.

Despite the name of this environmentally minded business that uses seasonal products sourced from local farmers, Rick's Picks offers more than simply classic cucumber pickles and its product list includes spicy green bean pickles, corn relish, picy sriracha-habanero pickles and the editor's pick, pickled paprika okra, which is known as Smokra. The jars are available at various NYC farmer's market including the Brooklyn Flea and the Union Square Green Market.
