Designers are exploring pod-like spaces for workstations, instead of open cubicles where workers have zero privacy, and one of these concepts is the Rhino workplace.
An office pod designed to maximize work while also provide an employee with a relaxing and private space, the Rhino workplace can help a worker relieve stress as he is able to connect to family members freely while getting his work done. The Rhino workplace features comfortable seating on the inside and can be completely closed by simply pulling the shell forward. An LED sign on the exterior allows a user to indicate whether he or she would like privacy.
Designed for easily communication to anyone outside of the chamber, the soundproof Rhino workplace was developed on the premise that getting support from loved ones and family members at work can have a positive impact on an employee's performance. Because workers feels support, they are less stressed and therefore more productive. Otherwise, as DesignBuzz points out, "stress keeps their minds occupied and away from work."
