The horns are made using a 3D printer and they are sold in the form of a powder. This power can then be added to beer to produce a cruelty-free beverage.
Pembient hopes that by making cheap synthetic horns, they can undercut the price charge by poachers. Ultimately the company would like to see its fake horns used as a substitute in all rhino products.
