Revolution Design House is design studio based in Portland that is known for its chic American made objects. Many people gravitate towards their Boxcar planters, so it is only natural that they would create a special series surrounding the design. Revolution Design House collaborated with 13 artists to essentially turn them into works of art for the home and office.
Although the artists each put their own spin on the Revolution Design House Boxcar planters, they all turned out full of color and personality. While some focused more on pattern and paint such as Chris Oh and Chris Biasi, others like Justin Nickels added more sculptural elements to make the planter really stand out. Revolution Design House displayed them at the Oregon College of Art and Craft’s Centrum Gallery.
