Remixed Restaurant Packaging

Yael Weiser Remixes Traditional McDonald's Branding With Blue Hues

Fast food retailer McDonald's has some of the most recognizable restaurant packaging in the world and is known for its red and yellow signage -- branding that was recently e-interpreted by designer Yael Weiser.

The Jersusalem-based designer conceived the restaurant packaging for McDonald's Amsterdam and chose to represent the fast food brand with blue and yellow hues rather than with its signature red color. In addition to re-inventing the eatery's burger and french fry containers, Weiser also took on the brand's cups, straws and even its tray protectors.

This revamped restaurant branding is more reflective of Amsterdam's clean and modern design style and is a departure from McDonald's familiar and all-American aesthetic. Yael Weiser's project also features fun GIF images and promotional materials that are also executed in blue and white.
