If you're a foodie with a green thumb, you must put Copenhagen's own Restaurant BioM on your bucket list. Located in the Østerbro district of Copenhagen, Restaurant BioM is a cozy little eatery with an eco-friendly aim.
Most restaurants claim to be eco-friendly, but Restaurant BioM takes things ten steps further by ensuring everything is environmentally friendly, from its recycled plastic chairs to organic wall paint and candles. The eco-friendliness doesn't stop at the interior decor, however -- pitchers, cups, plates and even the restaurant's toilet paper are all made from either recyclable or organic materials.
As for the menu at Restaurant BioM, head chef Brian Johansen and owner Heinz Lodahl have crafted an all-organic menu consisting of modern Danish delicacies. All of the beverages at Restaurant BioM are organic as well, with beer, soda and tea on tap. Some say a picture is worth a thousand words, but in the case of Restaurant BioM, it might as well be a thousand bites.
