When we think of ski resorts, we typically imagine chalet-style lodges with wooden exteriors amid snow-touched mountain peaks and the smell of pine. One resort is defying traditional accommodations with its winter-inspired interior and stark design. The Barin Sky Resort was created by RYRA Studio and is located near the Shemshak Ski Resort in Iran, which is a good hour’s drive outside the country’s capital.
Gazing at the hotel room’s 60-square-meter interior, one immediately gets the impression of winter. Its contoured walls and leveled ceiling only add to this appeal, as they resemble an igloo or glacier. The furniture and appliances blend seamlessly with everything else in the room. The room's skylight and low-level backlights provide ample illumination with only minimal light.
My only complaint is that the housekeeping staff must have a heck of a time keeping this place clean.
