Relab Development has released the LX480 Complete and the LX480 RHall, two high quality reverb hardware plug-in emulations of the industry-renowned Lexicon Inc. 480L Digital Effects Station. The Lexicon 480L has been rendered as one of the best-sounding reverbs on the market, and Relab set out to expand and adapt it for modern studio environments.
The LX480 plug-ins achieve the same nuances and depth as the original Lexicon unit's sound, all housed within a familiar user interface mimicking the signature off-white late-90's design. By integrating a GUI similar to the original's LARC (Lexicon Alphanumeric Remote Control) interface, Relab Development has gone to great lengths to reimagine the LX480 by providing graphic user customization, while maintaining the familiar workflow that professionals become accustomed to in the original hardware.
Unlike the original unit, Relab's emulation includes higher density reverb algorithms along with: additional filter structures, increased number of ER delay lines, stereo manipulation capabilities, and sample support for 88.2Khz and 96Khz.
The LX480 Complete version includes the full suite of reverb algorithms under the Dual Engine configuration, which allows for selective routing. The plug-in's reverb algorithms include: Random Hall, Hall, Room/Plate, Ambience, and Twin Delays. The LX480 RHall is Relab's more affordable option, which includes all the same functionality but only offers the Random Hall reverb algorithm.
The LX480 Complete and RHall currently retail on Relab Development's website, and can be used with both Windows and Mac operating systems.
