The 'Regression' travel bags have been designed by Zidi Chen of Shantou University as a tradition-honoring range of accessories for travelers who are seeking out an alternative to the conventional synthetic suitcases on the market today. The suitcase and backpack are achieved with a rattan section on the rear that is malleable, breathable and highly shock absorbent to help them easily survive the demanding experience of life on the road. The white cloth component of the bags is achieved using Lycra, which will allow the contents to stretch and expand it allow for a customized fit.
The 'Regression' travel bags are the winner of the bronze award from the Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA) and identifies what could be done to make travel solutions more eco-friendly yet functional.
