To improve upon hair product packaging and reduce waste, P&G Beauty is introducing its first-ever reusable aluminum bottle system, which makes it much easier for consumers to make the most of refillable shampoo solutions. This system aims to change the way consumers purchase and dispose of shampoo bottles and it pairs reusable 100% aluminum bottles with recyclable refill pouches made using 60% less plastic.
This system is being introduced for a range of brands, including Head & Shoulders, Pantene, Herbal Essences and Aussie, all with the intention of decreasing the number of virgin plastic bottles that need to be produced yearly.
Environmentally conscious consumers can look forward to being able to use the reusable packaging and refill pouches from P&G Beauty brands as of 2021. As Virginie Helias, P&G’s Chief Sustainability Officer, says: "It’s no longer about if or what we can do, but how quickly we can do it - the window is now for embracing new sustainable lifestyles."
