World-Traveling Ball Installations

The Redball Project Has Appeared in a New Location in Belgium

The 'Redball Project' is one that has been going on for a few years now and the latest setting for the artistic installation is across Antwerp, Belgium.

The installations feature 250-pound balls that are 15 feet high and are placed in various famous landmarks in Antwerp. Whether wedged between grand entrances, underneath buildings, on bridges, staircases, under buildings, next to cars or in castle doorways, the balls are certainly making an eye-catching statement. The Redball project was created and is continued by the American artist Kurt Perschke in order to "access the imagination embedded in all of us."

Although unusual, these playful artistic installations work to invoke curiosity in the people who are viewing them.
