Designer Daniel Svahn practices the art of sustainability by completing a project for a town hall in Stockholm with recycled chairs. The furnishings prove to have a rather experimental and unusual design, but that is not a bad thing and it has to do with the materials that Daniel Svahn chose to use during the completion of the request.
The recycled chairs are actually made from "tabletops that were destined for the dump." These were sourced from the municipality of Nacka, who collaborated with the designer by granting access to 14 old tabletops that were being replaced.
Daniel Svahn titled the collection of recycled chairs 'New Goodies but Oldies,' successfully reflecting the furnishing's sustainable origin. There is a total of three seating silhouettes for public use.
