The concept behind the CARMA project is to use as many recycled car parts as possible to create an eco-friendly bicycle that will try to makeup for the damage caused by the gas guzzler.
Leo Burnett Lisbon challenged Vitor and Kiko of Rcicla Bicletas to accomplish this recycling project for B-Bicycle Culture Magazine. Using an old Mercedes and pure guile, the two engineered a bike almost completely made out of pieces salvaged from this vehicle that was set for destruction in the junk yard. The handlebar grips are made from strips of interior upholstery, the peddles are made from door handles and a basket made out of seat lining was added as well.
By creating a bike made out of recycled car parts, the CARMA project hopes to change the future of Eco-transport.
