Stunningly Realistic Paintings

These Portraits by Joongwon Jeong Will Have You Second Guessing

Joongwon Jeong has brought faces to life on the canvas in these stunningly realisitic paintings.

It is absolutely mind-blowing how hyperrealistic Jeong was able to make these portraits. Even after scanning the images thoroughly, it is still difficult to decipher whether these are paintings or just photographs. To be completely honest, I'm still not convinced.

From the incredibly detailed pores and wrinkles to the soft light glowing from the skin, these realistic paintings exact the human face exceptionally well.

Joongwon Jeong is an artist from Korea and paints these images with acrylics on canvas. Among his choice photos include the character Gandalf, the actor Robert Downie Jr. and his grandpa. It can't be determined how close of a representation to his grandpa he was able to create, but judging by his work of known faces, it's probably impeccable.
