'Reach.ly' Trolls Twitter to Help Hotels Find Potential Guests

Tweeting about your upcoming trip may end up scoring you a discounted hotel thanks to Twitter marketing site Reach.ly. Reach.ly is a marketing site that connects hotels around the world with potential guests via Twitter.

Hotels need only to sign up for Reach.ly's services and indicate which cities they have an interest in. Reach.ly then uses a set of algorithms that look for tweets from people around the world who are planning a visit to the hotel's target city. Reach.ly then lets the hotels interact with the targeted travelers through a special dashboard where they can be offered everything from advice about the city to room rates.

According to Reach.ly, nine percent of travelers contacted through the service end up making a booking. Nine percent may not seem like a lot, but when you consider the fact that the service is free and easy to use, it suddenly seems like a steal of a deal.
