Famed British photographer Rankin has collaborated with makeup artist Ayami Nishimura for a rebellious fantasy beauty photo shoot. This will be Rankin’s second published book in 2012 featuring a mixture of mysteriously colorful dolled-up models. Each image exudes a certain amount of rainbow infected focal points. Whether the colourful area be the face or the body, Nishimura executes her idyllic fantasy world onto each model. Rakin captures the individual beauty of each photo with his high-definition and up-close frame work.
Surprisingly enough Nishimura is a self-taught makeup artist and developed her unique set of skills by honing in on her personal artistic flair. She has been working out of London since 1993 on high profile clients. Rankin on the other hand, is best known for being the co-founder of British magazine, Dazed & Confused. His work imitates what he aspires from emerging photographers. The mixture of Nishimura’s intensified beauty and Rankin’s drive for perfection makes this book a must have for photography lovers.
