Lately multicolored food in every hue of the rainbow has been blowing up, from bagels to grilled cheese and now, the rainbow latte.
Using a wide variety of food coloring and unerring skill, barista Kelsey Forde performs different versions of colorful latte art in a YouTube video produced by Jessica Leibowitz and Jen Carlson for Gothamist. By day the latte artist works at Brooklyn Roasting Company, but for fun she creates rainbow latte designs.
Beginning with a rainbow rose, the barista goes on to do a two-toned tulip, a gold flake-garnished purple Prince coffee, an espresso rainbow and a monochrome creation. This could very well inspire you to make your own multicolor coffees at home.
