The social enterprise honours the triple bottom line (profit, planet, people), recognizing success only when all three are met: in addition to supporting rainforests, the company donates school supplies to children in need around the world, including in regions facing deforestation.
"We donate school supplies to the children in endangered rainforests and ask them to illustrate what they see happening around them," the company says. The gallery shows some of the artwork that's made it onto the US-made shirts.
Rain Tees, which was started by designer Beth Doane in 2007, has generated a strong following through its online presence. In addition to maintaining a visual blog that contains celebrity interviews, they have generated over 15,000 fans on Facebook and Twitter.
