Anyone who has ever used public transit can understand the need for a product like the Rail Reach. Designer Justin Choy's creation is meant for hardcore public transit riders who can't stand the thought of clutching the same metal rails that tons of other people have touched.
The Rail Reach is made of lightweight plastic (it comes in at only 30 grams) and comes in a variety of colors. In addition to letting you not touch dirty rails, the design also reduces the distance you have to reach to grab rails, an especially clutch feature for small kids and folks on the shorter side. Choy is currently seeking $35,000 of funding for his creation on Kickstarter.
