This gleaming vertical structure was designed by Rafael de la-Hoz, and is set to go up in Tianjin, China. The design is meant to represent the development and innovation taking place in the area, as well as China's prosperity.
At the very top of the structure is a mirror, which reflects light down onto the ground to celebrate the birth of TEDA on December 6th. The entire monument looks like something out of the future, and reminds viewers of a piece of thin glass jutting out from the ground and reaching towards the sky. The actual name of the piece is 'A Cut Between Heaven and Earth,' which is extremely fitting considering the shape of the structure and the way it comes to an end at 60 meters above the ground.
