Red Bull Race the Place is this weekend and the man behind it recently launched his documentary, ‘ALLEYCATS: Bike Racing with Less Rules.’ Nadir Olivet is the Proprietor of La Carrera Cycles and the Sporting Director for Red Bull Race the Place. As the founding father of the Toronto urban cycle scene, Olivet has seen bike culture grow and evolve.
The ten-minute documentary dives right into the work lives of bike messengers—the thrill, the rush and the adrenaline. These passionate athletes live for the ride, but alongside the joy, there’s a lot of stress they have to deal with on a daily basis. ‘ALLEYCATS: Bike Racing with Less Rules’ will take you on a high-action, power-packed journey as it explains what bike culture is all about.
Whether you’re an avid cyclist or you’re looking to get active this spring, head over to the Lake Shore waterfront by Ontario Place in Toronto to check out the action on April 19th. This is the first time in two years Ontario Place has been open, and there’s no better way to experience the spectacular venue than to see extreme cyclists in action.
Trend Hunter had the chance to speak with Nadir about his experiences, so stay tuned to Trend Hunter TV for the interview, coming soon.
