Iconic paintings have often been reimagined through other artists' eyes, and now we can enjoy one of the latest projects, the Quilled Starry Night artwork. A stunning recreation of one of Vincent Van Gogh's most celebrated and recognizable masterpieces ever, it really does the original justice.
Crafted out of strips of paper that have been strategically coiled and shaped to perfection, the Quilled Starry Night artwork captures the vibrancy and movement of this painting amazingly. Atlanta-based artist Suzy Myers created thousands and thousands of quilled pieces of paper, glued down on their sides, to put together this masterpiece in its own right. She described the process as "painting with paper."
A self-proclaimed queen of UFOs (Unfinished Objects), I'm glad that Myers managed to finish the Quilled Starry Night artwork.
