Renowned sculptor Amy Goodman created a new statue that celebrates the late Queen Elizabeth II dressed up in her regal robe with additional artwork that is inspired by the local community. It is at the Riverside Park in Andover, UK. The statue of the late queen is a life-size piece of art in a bronze coating.
The project was commissioned by Test Valley Borough Council back in 2022 to nod to the community and her Platinum Jubilee simultaneously. The robe she wears is detailed with art from the people she has served. Amy Goodman shares, "It has been such an honor and privilege to sculpt our late Queen. I wanted to capture her warmth and humility; she did have such a radiant smile. I’ve also loved engaging with the local community and seeing their ideas come to life which have inspired the designs I have inscribed on her robe."
