This 1950s fabric factory in Beijing, China enjoys an uplifting primary color interior by MDDM Studio.
The layout of the space is spacious and paired back. The minimalism in the design approach is evident, as the crisp whiteness of the walls and grey touches in the terrazzo flooring are definitely attention-grabbers. MDDM Studio brings a colorful twist to the space which undoubtedly elevates the aesthetic. Tapping into the original primary color palette — yellow, blue and red, the fabric factory is embellished pleasantly. The facilitated contrast is definitely one that embraces contemporary sensibilities in their entirety. The primary color interior is solely contained in the occasional furniture piece, office utensil or plate.
Currently, the space is being utilized by CWITM — a film production company.
