Digital publishing platform PressPad has now launched the PressPad Lounge, a kiosk that turns a small area into a reading station. These hubs are currently in testing by the Radisson Blu hotel in Krakow, Poland, so that guests can have access to a variety of digital publications while they wait to check into the hotel or a table at the restaurant.
All of the magazines are available for free through PressPad and make use of proximity sensors and beacons to allow guests to access the content from within a certain area using their own mobile devices. Since physical magazines are so easily outdated, this virtual reading station makes it much easier for guests to access fresh content from the convenience of their own device.
