Retrospective Luxury Vehicle Exhibits

This AutoShow Exhibit Explores 70 Years of Porsche History

One of the feature exhibitions at this year's Canadian International AutoShow combined vintage vehicles with emerging tech design, to offer consumers an immersive experience that explored 70 years of Porsche history.

The exhibit displayed a selection of historically significant vehicles, which emphasized the brand's dedication to innovation. Some of the selected models included the Porsche 550 Spyder, an elegant racing car from the 1950s and an original 356 model, which was shipped directly from the Porsche museum in Germany. Fusing elegance with function, the selected models demonstrated Porsche's influence on both the design and automotive world.

While largely retrospective, guests of the exhibit were treated to a sneak peek of the future of the Porsche brand with a scale model iteration of the Mission E -- a rendering of what the brand's first fully electric vehicle might look like. To demonstrate the capabilities of this conceptual vehicle, guests were provided with an AR-infused device. While pointed at the vehicle, the device displayed an augmented illustration of the futuristic car's inner workings.

The celebratory Porsche exhibit is on display at the 2018 Canadian International AutoShow at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.
