Huge paper sculptures are painted and then cut out by several collaborators under the direction of artist Jean Jullien to be displayed at a pop-up art exhibit.
Entitled 'Les Gens Plats,' the paper installation project showcases large-scale versions of the artist's cartoon designs that reach from the ceiling down to the floor of the gallery. Gallery goers are greeted with the cheerful designs for an uplifting experience that is larger than life. A tentacled octopus dangles from above while quirky cartoon people lean against the walls, inviting viewers to look up as they walk amongst the paper giants.
Jean Jullien's art installation is pleasantly experiential, turning this pop-up art exhibit into a creative environment that is both inviting and creatively inspirational.
