Cropped Cola Rebranding

Ewan Yap Creates New Can Packaging for Popular Soda Brands

This art project comes from designer Ewan Yap and features remixed packaging ideas for popular soda brands like Pepsi, Sprite and Dr. Pepper.

The collection is called The Big Brand Theory: Packaging Design, which clearly is a play on the TV sitcom The Big Bang Theory. In the collection, Yap took magnified images of the popular soda brands' logos and cropped them. He then placed the cropped, magnified images on the cans in unusual configurations to create totally new packaging looks.

"The main focus is to have each brand’s identity meticulously and uniquely cropped out of the packaging as much as possible yet maintaining its integrity and comprehension, at the same time enhancing the aesthetic value," says Yap.
