Political Art Installations

This Art Piece Endorses Peace Between North and South Korea

The relationship between North and South Korea is contentious to say the least and this political art installation tries to speak for a more peaceful future.

The piece was created by South Korean artist Ik-Joong Kang for the purpose of drifting along the River Thames in England. Called 'Floating Dreams,' the political art installation is made up of drawings by 500 North Korean refugees that show their memories from the Korean war in the 1950s. The artistic piece is not just paying homage to these specific refugees, but for everyone currently fleeing their homes as a result of violence, conflict and natural disasters.

This glowing piece of art sends an important message in a time when it is crucial that people aim to achieve equality and peace.
