Yesterday Pokémon fans got a big treat courtesy of Nintendo—two new games have been announced—Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, set for a release later this year in November.
The first Ruby and Sapphire Pokémon games were launched way back in 2003 for the Game Boy Advance, but the systems have advanced and Nintendo announced that the games will be exclusively playable on Nintendo 2DS and 3DS systems.
The two new games will be the 23rd and 24th video game additions to the Pokémon franchise, but even though it seems like a perfect way to conclude the series, literally with an alpha and an omega, Nintendo probably won't pass up an opportunity to round off its releases with a 25th, or continue on from there.
