Slides, swings and seesaws are pieces of playground equipment that are associated with play, but Learning Resources' new playground toy set puts an educational twist on these instruments of play.
As its name suggests, the 'STEM Engineering & Design: Building Set Playground' puts a focus on creativity and problem-solving, challenging kids to create structurally sound pieces of equipment as instructed by the cards included in the set. In total, there are 104 playground pieces included, as well as 10 double-sided Challenge cards, which creates the potential for hours upon hours of experimentation. This STEM toy set uses visuals and tactile tools to teach the basics of engineering and design, equipping kids with valuable lessons and thinking skills to carry forward throughout their schooling.
Other newly launched toys from Learning Resources include a Let's Go Code Activity Set, as well as the Primary Science Deluxe Lab Set.
