LEGO's Play with Braille Bricks Teach Kids with Visual Impairments to Read

LEGO is introducing Play with Braille bricks for blind and partially sighted children so that young ones with vision impairments can learn to read as they play. These unique LEGO bricks coded with braille have been in development and testing since 2020 by schools and services that work with visually impaired children. Now, these specialty bricks are being made available to the public just in time for back-to-school season.

In the LEGO Play with Braille English set, kids and parents will find baseplates to build on, and play starters that provide an introduction on the best ways to orient, attach and stack the bricks. Created for kids ages six and up, the set contains 284 bricks with numbers and letters in braille.
