‘Pergola’ is the creative work of Claude Cormier, who arranged 90,000 plastic balls in the shape of brightly-colored wisteria blooms as a tribute to Monet. The impressionist painter used the plant frequently in his works, as you can see in the gallery above.
This ‘Pergola’ installation found at Le Havre City Hall looks simply amazing and is a great example of mixing modern art with nature. It’s easily one of my favorite pieces of landscape architecture.
