The Director of Design at Google, Claude Zellweger speaks about the phone in an interview with Design Milk, stating "[A unique looking phone is] what our users expect – they want a phone design that is on the cutting edge in terms of size, comfort, and performance, but they want it to be recognized across the room. That said, our design follows a clear progression of camera technology."
