Restored Rustic Wood Pavilions

The Pines Pavilion Rebuilds a Nightclub After a Devastating Fire

After a devastating fire destroyed the New York Pavilion Nightclub, design group HWKN decided to rebuild and restore the damaged public space into what is now known as the Pines Pavilion.

A vital part of New York's gay community, the Pines Pavilion brings back life into a luxurious seaside space. The design is entirely wood-based, and features a combination of contrasting light and dark wood grains and textures. With a total of three levels, the Pines Pavilion features several patios, a breathtaking wooden staircase, shops and a dance area. The wood structure complements beautifully with the crystal blue water and the timber boardwalk that surrounds the building.

The Pines Pavilion is refreshingly modern with a minimalist and industrially undone design that will certainly attract nightlife back into the area.Photo Credits: designboom, thepinesfireisland
