PICnet is B Corp that offers affordable website management services to non-profits and social enterprises that might otherwise struggle to fund a strong online presence, which is essential to raising awareness (and naturally, funds). PICnet offers setup of powerful tools to facilitate critical features like online forms, donations and event organization.
The social business was founded by UCLA grads Ryan Ozimek and Grey Frandsen who worked together at an NGO in Albania in 1999. While overseas, they realized the immense benefits that affordable and accessible modern technology can bring to caused-based organizations, so in 2001 they launched PICnet to do just that.
"We enjoy doing great work for amazing organizations, and our philosophy behind our work is simple: those that do good for society deserve the best services we can provide," the website explains. "From our Non-Profit Soapbox service to our support of the Joomla open source community, we believe PICnet can be more effective in supporting our community through a triple bottom-line focus: people, planet, and profit."
The company has offices in Washington DC and San Francisco, although they work with clients across the U.S. and in locations like the Bahamas and Costa Rica.
