Ned is a phone docking station that's quite unlike any other, designed to encourage bonding at home, instead of constantly being attached to your phone. Ned, which stands for "No Electronic Distractions," is big, blue and toaster-sized, making him unmissable on a countertop or table. He's also got a great big grin, which is where you can place your phone. To "feed" Ned, all you need to do is put your phone in his mouth, and the more you get into the habit of doing this, the less likely you are to be responding to all of those incoming push notifications, emails and text messages. While the phone is sitting in Ned's mouth, he's also able to charge devices so that when you're ready to go again, Ned's got your back.
The inventive Ned was created by Jenny and Josh Solar, founders of the Happy Family Movement, which encourages family togetherness. The Solars are currently are running a Kickstarter campaign to jump start the production of their fun Phone Monsters.
