Perfumer Josh Meyer has teamed up with artist Ashod Simonian to create this perfume line called ‘Imaginary Authors.’ The collection is inspired by fictitious famous literature. The perfumes are supposed to inspire you and take you to new places, just as a book would.
Each scent is based on an author that Meyer thought up. He designed each scent and packaging in the likes of that author's persona and historic life. For example, the perfume ‘The Soft Lawn’ was written by ‘Claude LeCoq’ while he was "attending Princeton University" and smells of ivy leaves and tennis courts.
Another scent, 'Cape Heartache,' is based off the novel written by the late, but fake, Philip Sava. The "exploration novel" perfume has notes of Douglas fir, pine resin, western hemlock, vanilla leaf, strawberry, old growth and mountain fog.
