Assistive Colored Pencil Packaging

This Conceptual Package Design Aims to Help the Colorblind

Chen Zhi Liang developed a conceptual colored pencil packaging solution for NOMA that aims to better assist consumers with colorblindness.

The packaging integrates a symbol-based system to help users differentiate individual colors, as well as dark and light tones, so that they can better communicate their ideas with the appropriate colors. The design of the package may also be arranged to fit one's usage preference by either using it flat, or changing the shape of the design to form an easy-to-use stand that clearly separates the dark and light shades in the colored pencil set.

For an added sensory experience, the designer imagines using a material for the package with a "sand-like texture."
