Designer Sissel Frandsen designs the Peel series of lighting for the Danish brand Frandsen. A single sheet of steel forms the unique shape of the light. Warringa creates three different Peel lights for the brand: a table lamp, a wall-mounted lamp, and a pendant light. All of these are made with a curved steel sheep which works as the base and mounted plate for the respective lights. It is bent to shine light outwards from an opal glass shade inside.
Frandsen states, "Warringa's latest design, Peel, represents the culmination of years of research into metals and metal forms. Meticulously crafted from a single sheet of metal and skillfully cut into a circular shape with a precise slit, Warringa's innovative design seamlessly melds form and function, creating a softer, rounded feel not usually associated with metals."
